| novel scans Now, the most wonderful thing about a Japanese novel is that there are (more then not, when it comes to knock-offs of video games and manga) illustrations. In the Devil May Cry world, there are two novels. The first one, meant to extend the story from the first game, no longer seems to make much sense because of Devil May Cry 3 and the corresponding manga. The novel, written by Hideki Kamiya (the director of the original Devil May Cry, takes place before the events in the first game. It explains Dante's life from the death of Eva, to Trish bursting in at the beginning of the first game. The second novel, which I'm not as clear on, was to be read right before Devil May Cry 2. |
